Sheldon, Iowa — RiseFest, the Christian music festival held each June in Sheldon, has announced an additional artist to grace the brand new RiseFest stage this year.
Rise Ministries Founder and President, Rob Roozeboom, says the duo Social Club Misfits will be appearing at RiseFest this year.
(As above) “So I’m pretty excited about announcing this group, it’s called Social Club Misfits. It’s going to be a different sound, it’s kind of a hip-hop duo type feel. They’ll be a little bit different than maybe some of the other artists we’ve had on the RiseFest stage and I just think they’re going to bring a lot of fun to RiseFest this year. So we’re super excited to announce Social Club Misfits is coming. They will be there on Saturday.”
In addition to Social Club Misfits, there are five other acts for this year’s festival that had previously been announced.
(As above) “For the very first time, Casting Crowns is coming, so (we’re) super excited about that. Casting Crowns has never been with us at RiseFest. They will be there. We also have announced Matthew West is coming. Zach Williams is coming, Big Daddy Weave is coming, and for the first time, We The Kingdom is coming. So five awesome artists already announced, with some more coming.”
Roozeboom stressed that RiseFest is about more than just music.
(As above) “Absolutely! I mean, we also have…now I know it’s going to be a different year, more than likely…but yes, we’ve got the Kid’s Zone back, we’ve got the Tween Tent, the Teen Tent, the Merch Tent will be back, seminars will be back. We’ll be announcing some of those speakers here in the near future that we’re really excited about. There’s all kinds of things happening. There’ll be food vendors, of course, at the festival as well. And so (we’re) just really looking forward to coming back together after a year, and worshipping together.”
He says there is also some special ticket pricing going on right now for this year’s festival.
(As above) “Right now it’s called our Early Bird. So if you buy ten or more it’s $32.50 each, or if you want them individually, they’re only $35. That runs through the end of April. It’s called our Early Bird Special, but then, of course, tickets will go up from there. Kids 10 and under are free. We are continuing to go with that, so kids 10 and under will get in free. We would love for you to help get tickets out into people’s hands, and just let them know. Of course we have the One More. When you go to buy a ticket you can buy just one more and invite somebody special to join you at RiseFest.”
Roozeboom says there are also a limited number of Prime Tickets available, which include access to the Prime Tickets Tent where you’ll find snacks all weekend and other amenities. And, he says, there are still some camping spots available, but you’ll need to reserve your camping space soon.
