This is the eighth semi-annual awarding of Competitive Grants.

In order to help with larger projects, the foundation also gives multi-cycle grants. These bigger projects for which the foundation continues to provide funding include the construction of the Inwood Aquatic Center, renovation of the Little Rock City Hall, construction of the Lester Community Center, construction of the new Larchwood Fire Station, updates to Fellowship Village in Inwood and the construction of the new Kids Club day care building in Rock Rapids. The City of Lester will receive the last payment at the end of March 2015 toward their Community Center.

The foundation committed to two new multi-cycle grants on Thursday. The Inwood Fire and Rescue crew was approved for funding of a new ambulance for nearly $98,000 over four cycles at approximately $25,000 per cycle. Also approved for multi-cycle funding was a new fire and rescue station for the City of Doon. The grant is for nearly $263,000 over 6 cycles.

Foundation board president Jeff Gallagher says it was great to be able to help these projects.
