Rock Valley Woman Dies In Hull Area Crash

Hull, Iowa — A 30-year old Rock Valley woman is dead in the aftermath of a two-vehicle crash that happened shortly before 5:30 Friday evening (December 14th) on Highway 75 near Hull.

According to a report from the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office, a 2007 Buick Rendevous, driven by 30-year old Molly Te Slaa of Rock Valley was northbound on Highway 75, three and one half miles southwest of Hull, when she lost control of her vehicle and entered the southbound lane, colliding with a southbound 2008 Chevrolet Uplander driven by 42-year old Wally Jansma of Sioux Center.

Authorities say Jansma was transported by the Hull Ambulance to the Hegg Memorial Hospital in Rock Valley for treatment of his injuries. Te Slaa was transported to the Sioux Center Hospital by the Hull Ambulance, where she was pronounced dead as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Hull Fire Department, Hull Ambulance, Sioux Center Police Department, Rock Valley Police Department and Iowa State Patrol.

Deputies say the accident remains under investigation
