Alton, Iowa — A Sanborn man was arrested on drug charges after a traffic stop early on Thursday, March 5.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office says that just after midnight, they arrested 48-year-old Michael Rydstrom of Sanborn as the result of a traffic stop that occurred on Highway 60, two miles south of Alton.
Upon further investigation deputies say they discovered a controlled substance in Rydstrom’s possession.
Rydstrom was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and third or subsequent offense possession of a controlled substance.
K9 units from the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office and Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the investigation.
