It’s being called “My Heart Beats For You.” SCAT’s Cindy Freeman tells us about it.

She says they hook up the EKG machine to each second grader and the machine can print a strip similar to a store receipt with the cardiac wave forms on it, that under normal circumstances, could be read by an expert, such as a cardiologist, but in this case will make a keepsake for their valentine cards.

Freeman tells us how the idea came about.

Second graders at Sheldon Christian School, Sheldon St. Patrick’s and Sheldon East Elementary are having their hearts monitored and are getting the strips.
