Sheldon, Iowa — The Sheldon Chamber and Development Corporation has announced that, along with O’Brien County Economic Development, they are preparing to introduce a scholarship program to recruit some of this area’s top talent back to the area, as part of a workforce recruitment campaign.
Sheldon Development Director Curt Strouth tells us about the “Homecoming Scholarship Program.”
Strouth says these scholarships are designed to help the recipient pay down their student loans.
He says the “Homecoming Scholarship Program” piggybacks onto the annual O’Brien County Career Day.
While the exact details of the program are still being worked out, Strouth says the SCDC will be releasing more information soon on how to apply, program eligibility and more.
