Sheldon, Iowa — Sheldon’s employers are concerned about lack of skilled people to fill open positions and lack of affordable housing.
That’s according to an update given to the Sheldon City Council by Sheldon Development Director Curt Strouth. Strouth tells us how they get the information.
He says that at least initially, it seems like the same items are coming up that were identified as concerns last year.
He says that as far as housing, Sheldon is addressing that in several ways.
Strouth says they’re also working on ways to get the skilled workers to come to Sheldon.
