Sheldon City Council To Meet Wednesday Afternoon

Sheldon, Iowa — The Sheldon City Council will meet in regular session at 4:30 p.m. this Wednesday afternoon in the council chambers at the Sheldon Community Services Center across 9th Street from KIWA Radio.

On their consent agenda if approved, they will approve the minutes of the February 19th meeting, the claims list, a retail alcohol license for Hy-Vee and one for La Pasada Mexican Restaurant and Bar, a beer permit for Main Street 3 Theatre, the utility billing policies and procedures, a clarification of start date for Police Sergeant Tim Loeschen, (including a ceremonial swearing-in under old business), and a resolution approving ag deferments for fiscal year 2026.

In new business, the council will hear a report from Mid-Sioux Opportunity and will be presented with an agreement that will be voted on in April. They’ll also hear the city manager’s report and any comments from other staff, the mayor, or council members.
