Sheldon, Iowa — The Sheldon Fire Company was called to 1022 – 3rd Avenue in downtown Sheldon early last night to the report of smoke in the building.
The call went out at 5:34 pm, and Sheldon Assistant Fire Chief Randy Harms tells KIWA that fire crews discovered a faulty air exchanger was responsible for the smoke, and that no fire was located.
Harms says firefighters used fans to remove the smoke from the building. He says his crews were on scene for just under an hour.
