Sheldon Orabs Homecoming Week

Sheldon, Iowa — Sheldon High School has started off their homecoming week with The Lion Sleeps Tonight, students wore their pajamas to school.Tonight, September 26th, will also be their Homecoming Coronation, which will take place in the High School Gym and a football game against Sioux Center.

September 27th will be You Can’t See Me, students will wear camo clothes. A Volleyball game against Okoboji will be at 5:30pm.

Wednesday, September 28th will be Jungle JIM Day. Students will dress up like tourists.

Thursday, September 29th will be Class Pride Day, each class has a different color they will wear. Freshmen will wear green, Sophomores will wear red, Juniors will wear orange, and Seniors will wear blue. Staff can also participate by wearing black. At 4:30pm will be a Cross Country meet with South O’Brien at the Paulina Golf Club. At 5:30pm there is also a volleyball game against Rock Valley.

Friday, September 30th will be Orange and Black Day. Students should wear their school colors with pride! The Highschool has quite a few activities planned for Friday. In the High School Gym there will be HeMan Volleyball and Powder Puff Football before lunch. After lunch there will be the Talent Show, which will take place in the auditorium. From 12:50-1pm will be the Assemble on Orab Field. At 2:30-3pm will be the Parade.

Before the game the FFA will be hosting a Tailgate Supper. $10 for a hamburger meal, $6 for a hotdog meal. You will need to get your tickets for this early as there are limited tickets, contact an FFA member or Mr. Fox at the High School.

Pregame will begin at 6:30pm, which is when Homecoming Candidates will be recognized. At 7pm is the big game, Sheldon versus Cherokee.

After the game will be the Homecoming Dance, which will go until 11:30pm.
