Sheldon Pastors & Community Come Together To Pray About Coronavirus

Sheldon, Iowa — The Sheldon Area Ministerial Association, in conjunction with KIWA Radio and the Sheldon Chamber & Development Corporation and citizens of Sheldon came together Sunday afternoon for an hour of prayer, live online and on the radio.

On Friday, Sheldon Mayor Greg Geels issued an official proclamation, proclaiming Sunday (March 22nd) a Day of Prayer in Sheldon.

The Ministerial Association had asked Sheldon residents to go to Sheldon businesses, restaurants, schools, and healthcare facilities, and join in prayer with six Sheldon area pastors who were praying for these organizations, and for Sheldon residents, from 3:00 to 4:00 Sunday afternoon, live on KIWA-AM 1550 & FM 100.7, on KIWA-FM 105.3, and online at kiwaradio.com.

The pastors who came together at the KIWA Studios for the special Hour of Prayer on the topic of the coronavirus were Parkview Assembly Pastor Mark Chandler, 1st Reformed Church Pastor Paul Van Maaren, Bethel Reformed Pastor Dave Van Kley, Immanuel Christian Reformed Pastor Kevin Muyskens, Living Water Community Church Pastor Jesse Walhof and Sheldon United Methodist Pastor Kevin Gingerich.

The pastors invite everyone to continue the prayers going forward.
