Sheldon School Board To Hold Regular Monthly Meeting

Sheldon, Iowa — The Sheldon Community Schools Board of Education will meet in regular session today (Wednesday, 9/11/19) at 5:00 in the high school library.

Among the agenda items with which they will deal are ten Open Enrollment Applications from students wishing to enroll into or out of the Sheldon District.

In other action, the school board is expected to accept a pair of employee resignations, and approve six employment contracts. They’ll also be asked to approve a Transportation Agreement between the Sheldon Community Schools and Upper Des Moines Opportunity involving the transportation of Head Start students.

The school board will also be asked to approve student teacher agreements with both the University of South Dakota, and Fort Hayes State University in Kansas.

Superintendent Cory Myers will update the school board on the Annual District Audit, as well as provide an update on the high school cafeteria, and report on the roof inspection, along with other topics.

Wednesday’s Sheldon School Board meeting begins at 5:00 pm in the high school library.
