Sheldon, Iowa — There’s a new promotion set for this Friday and Saturday in Sheldon — with the goals of encouraging people to shop in Sheldon and go out to eat in Sheldon. Plus, you could win a prize worth $250.
Sheldon Chamber Director Shantel Oostra tells us more.
(as said:) “It is something new that we are trying its Shop Hop and Taste The Town. Our Shop Hop will be Friday and Saturday. Friday we’re running from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. And what you need to do is stop in the participating retailers and there will be an SCDC logo hidden somewhere in the store. And what you need to do is find that logo and then you can pick up a punch card at any of the participating retailers or restaurants actually and once you find the logo in the store, you bring it to one of the employees, and then they will give you a stamp on your card.”
That’s part one — the “shop hop.” Oostra tells us about part two — “Taste The Town.”
(as said:) “With Taste The Town you can grab lunch breakfast supper and appetizer coffee dessert whatever you would like from any of the participating restaurants and you need to receive a punch from one of the participating restaurants. And once you have all of the retailers’ punched, and at least one restaurant, you can fill out your information on the back side of the card and can return your card to the SCDC office and your name will be put into a drawing for a grand prize, which is valued over 250 dollars.”
Another big thing to keep in mind, is you won’t have time to misplace your card at home because the cards have to be turned in at the SCDC office by 8 a.m. on Monday morning, September 21st. You can find the full details at kiwaradio.com/event/sheldon-shop-hop.
