Sheldon UMC Summer Lunch Program Kicks Off Wednesday

Sheldon, Iowa — As school kids head into summer vacation, Sheldon United Methodist Church is ready to begin their annual Summer Lunch Program.

This will be the 9th year for the program, according to coordinator Michelle Noack.

Noack says meals will be served every Monday through Friday, all summer long, with the exception of one day.

She says there is no charge for the meals.

Noack says the Summer Lunch Program could use more volunteers.

She says donations are always welcome, and for more information on how to volunteer or how to make a donation, you can contact the church office at 712-324-4894.

In addition to the Sheldon United Methodist Church Summer Lunch Program, the Sheldon Community Schools are also offering a summer lunch program for students. Those meals will be served at First Reformed Church in Sheldon.
