Sibley City Administrator Is Finalist For Job In Southeast Minnesota

Kasson, Minnesota — A Rock Rapids native who has served in the public sector for several years, and is currently the Sibley City Administrator, is a finalist for a similar position in southeast Minnesota.

According to the Kasson, Minnesota Interim City Administrator, Nancy Zaworski, Glenn Anderson is one of five finalists for the position.

Located 14 miles west of Rochester, Minnesota, on Highway 14, Kasson was a city of almost 6000, according to the 2010 Census.

Zaworski says is Anderson is currently the City Administrator/Economic Development Director/Utility Superintendent for the City of Sibley, Iowa, where he has been in the position for approximately five years. Prior to that, he served as the City Administrator/Economic Development Director for the City of Ackley, IA, for approximately one year, and the
Economic Development Director for Lyon County for approximately three years. She says Anderson holds a bachelor’s degree in education/social sciences from Northwestern College.

According to Zaworski, she herself is also one of the five finalists for the position. The other candidates include one from North Carolina and two others from Minnesota.

She says an interview process will take place on Wednesday, November 13th.
