Sioux City Attorney Appointed As Judge To Serve Part Of Our Area

Des Moines, Iowa — A Sioux City attorney has been appointed as a judge who will serve a portion of our part of Northwest Iowa.

Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds has announced her appointment of James Daane as a district court judge in Judicial Election District 3B. That’s the district that includes Crawford, Ida, Monona, Plymouth, Sioux, and Woodbury counties.

According to Governor Reynolds’ Office, Daane, of Sioux City, Iowa, currently practices law with Mayne, Hindman, Daane, Parry & Wingert in Sioux City. He received his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of South Dakota.

They tell us Daane fills the vacancy created by the upcoming retirement of District Court Judge Duane E. Hoffmeyer.
