Sioux County Community Foundation Funds Vehicle for Seasons Center

Sioux Center, Iowa — Seasons Center has received a grant award from Sioux County Community Foundation to help fund a vehicle for the agency in their Sioux Center office location.

Agency vehicles allow staff to transport clients to and from appointments, Seasons’ therapeutic camp, Camp Autumn, as well as attend client appointments at their homes or in the community. The HEAL program, Seasons’ trauma therapy service requires significant travel for providers who meet clients in the setting where they feel most comfortable.

Seasons Center VP of Program Coordination and Compliance Christina Eggink-Postma says Seasons Center is very grateful to the Sioux County Community Foundation for their support. She says Seasons Center is able to utilize these funds after working with a local dealership in order to find the most appropriate vehicle to meet the needs of their agency. She says transportation is a barrier for accessing services for so many people, and this vehicle will better enable Seasons Center to serve individuals from across Sioux County.

Seasons Center employs 10 staff in its Sioux Center office location, including services such as outpatient therapy, substance use disorder services, and trauma therapy.

Seasons is a non-profit organization and has been providing a broad range of psychiatric and behavioral health services to people and communities in Northwest Iowa since 1959.
