Northwest Iowa — We could have some slick roads and some frigid windchill values this Wednesday.
According to the National Weather Service, expect scattered travel issues into Wednesday morning due to low visibility from falling and blowing snow in addition to slick roadways. Highs are only forecast from 10 to 15 through the middle of the week along with below-zero wind chills possibly approaching as cold as 20 below zero at times.
Thursday brings our next chance for light snow. While temperatures look to warm up on Friday, chances are increasing for another round of rain or snow to round out the week. Total amounts and most probable precipitation types remain uncertain at this time. Weather Service officials tell us those with travel interests should pay close attention to the forecast and always check on the latest road conditions before heading out.
