Sunday Presentation Will Help You Keep Your Kids Safe From Human Traffickers

Sheldon, Iowa — A Human Trafficking Awareness Program is going to be held at the Sheldon United Methodist Church on Sunday, October 3rd.

The program will start at 2 p.m., and is put on by a group called Action 169. We talked to Danielle Freitag with Action 169, and she tells us about the presentation.

She gives us the message that they want everyone to hear.

Freitag says when most people think of human sex trafficking, they think of kidnapping. But, she says, that’s not always the case. In fact it’s rarely the case.

While they will talk more in-depth about this at the presentation on Sunday, we asked Freitag for some ideas of how to keep our children safe from predators.

A free-will offering will be accepted, and there will be refreshments to follow Sunday afternoon’s program at the Sheldon United Methodist Church. Everyone is welcome to attend.
