Primghar, Iowa — Area food banks are in need of your donations. In fact some food banks are reporting dwindling donations.
The new Outreach Specialist with the Upper Des Moines Opportunity Office in Primghar, Brenda Collier tells us that sometimes people think of donations to food banks as something that people do in the fall, around Thanksgiving, or around Christmas. But she says they need food donations all the time. In fact there’s one reason that they need more donations in the summer.
Collier gives us an idea of what kinds of items their food bank needs right now.
Collier says if you want to donate, call or just stop at their office.
She says they also take monetary and other donations to help people in various ways.
