Village Independence Day Celebration Is Monday

Sheldon, Iowa — A summer celebration that draws people from miles around is scheduled to take place this coming Monday, July 3rd, at Village Northwest Unlimited in Sheldon.

Village Northwest Unlimited’s Annual Independence Day celebration will begin at 5:00 Monday afternoon on the Village grounds in northeast Sheldon.  Village Northwest Event and Volunteer Coordinator Samantha Waterstone tells us about some ot the activities on tap for Monday’s celebration.

Waterstone says the Mud Dogs Band play a variety of musical selections that are sure to please everyone.

Following the performance by the Mud Dogs Band, at dusk, the largest fireworks display in the area will be lit for the crowd’s enjoyment.

What would a celebration like the VNU Independence Day observance be without food?  Waterstone says there will be something available for every taste.

She says the annual Village Northwest Independence Day celebration is the Village’s way of saying “thank you” to the community for the support they’re shown throughout the year.

You’re encouraged to bring your lawn chairs and blankets and come to the Village Northwest Independence Day celebration, Monday night, beginning at 5:00 on the VIllage Northwest grounds.
