Westfield, Iowa — A Westfield woman is dead after a crash near that town on Tuesday, September 22nd.
The Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office reports that their investigators believe that 24-year-old Crystal Marie Ortega Flores was in a 1999 Chevrolet Blazer which was southbound on Highway 12 when it went out of control, leaving the roadway and entering the west ditch. The vehicle rolled several times and came to rest on its top. The vehicle was registered to Dustin Ray Taylor of Westfield, Iowa. He was in the vehicle at the time of the accident but did not require medical attention.
Ortega Flores died as a result of her injuries.
The accident remains under investigation by the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office, Iowa State Patrol and the offices of State of Iowa and Plymouth County Medical Examiners.
