Wintertime Fun Planned In Hull This Weekend

Hull, Iowa — In summer, Hull celebrates Summerfest. So in winter they celebrate — what else — Winterfest. Actually, winter doesn’t arrive until December 21st, but those in Hull will be celebrating the coming season this weekend — weather permitting.

We’re supposed to get some snow this weekend. And as long as it doesn’t stop the festivities, it will add to the atmosphere in Hull.

Faye De Kam, the Executive Director of the Hull Area Chamber of Commerce says at this point they plan on having Winterfest “snow or shine.” She tells us what’s happening.

She says the “main event” of the weekend so-to-speak is their Winterfest Craft and Vendor Fair.

“Cookie Painting” will also be available, says De Kam.

There’s also a Girls Basketball Tournament at the Hull Christian School and Western Christian. Plus, the new craze these days is “escape rooms.” They’ve got some escape room fun planned too, called Epic Escape Room, and that will be at the Boyden-Hull High School from 4 to 9 p.m.
