Sheldon, Iowa — A Wreath Laying Ceremony is scheduled for Friday evening (December 23rd) in the Sheldon City Park.
Jeremy Beenken of Sheldon American Legion Post 145 says it’s their way of showing appreciation for the military members who won’t be able to make it home this Christmas.
In addition, Beenken says the ceremony will honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.
Beenken says you don’t need to be a veteran to attend this brief wreath laying ceremony.
The American Legion Post 145’s Wreath Laying Ceremony will be held at 5:00 pm Friday at the Service Member Memorial, which is located on the south side of the Sheldon City Park.
