Sibley, Iowa – A Sibley man has pleaded guilty of the possession of methamphetamine.
The Osceola County Sherrif’s office tells us 23-year-old Tristan Stephen Dimmitt Gleason of Sibley pleaded guilty Friday to possession of the controlled substance, which is a 1st degree offense and a serious misdemeanor. Gleason will serve 30 days in the Osceola County Jail with all, but two days suspended with credit for time already serviced.
Gleason is also to pay a fine of $430, a 15 percent crime services surcharge, court costs, legal defense expenses, crime victim assistance costs, and required contribution to a local anti-crime organization and restitution to the medical assistance program.
Gleason was also placed on probation to the Third Judicial District Department of Corrections for one year and will obtain a substance abuse evaluation and follow any treatment, rehabilitation, or monitoring program as recommended.
