George, Iowa — A Boyden man has been arrested on a charge of sex abuse of a minor.
According to a criminal complaint filed with the Lyon County Clerk of Court’s Office by the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, 27-year-old Riley Jon Vis of Boyden was arrested on Thursday.
In her statement, the deputy says Vis committed a sex act with a 15-year-old juvenile in George on November 2nd, 2024.
Vis was charged with third-degree sex abuse of a child victim four or more years younger, a class C felony. If convicted, Vis could face up to 10 years in prison.
Vis faces a preliminary hearing on the charge on December 2nd.
Vis was booked into the Lyon County Jail in Rock Rapids, and was released the next day after posting a $10,000 bond.
