Cedar Rapids, Iowa — Don’t be alarmed if you see aircraft flying low above electric transmission lines in the coming days. Officials with ITC Midwest, an electric transmission company, say crews will be conducting aerial inspections of lines and structures. The inspections will begin next week and will continue through October 1st, weather permitting.
In northwest Iowa, the operations will be taking place in Osceola, Dickinson, and Kossuth counties. Aerial patrols in southwest Minnesota will be conducted in Rock, Nobles, Jackson, and Martin counties.
