Spencer, Iowa – Singer/songwriter Eli Alger of the group “Faster Horses” has written a song about the Spencer flood. It’s simply titled “The Flood”. Alger says he was inspired to write the song when he and his band opened for Trace Adkins at last year’s Clay County Fair in Spencer.
Alger says “The Faster Horses Flood Relief Festival” will be held this coming June 21st at the Clay County Fairgrounds in Spencer, which will mark the first anniversary of the devastating event.
