Rock Valley, Iowa — Four people were taken to a hospital after a crash on Sunday, March 30 in Rock Valley.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office tells us their joint investigation with the Rock Valley Police Department indicates that a few minutes after 2:45 p.m., 20-year-old Angel Espinoza of Doon was driving a 2013 Dodge Avenger westbound on Highway 18. They say 25-year-old Transito Chilel of Sioux Center was driving a 2008 Toyota Sienna from the driveway of JJ’s Valley Mart onto Highway 18, and the vehicles collided.
An ambulance took Espinoza, two passengers, and Chilel to Hegg Health Center Avera in Rock Valley.
The Espinoza Dodge sustained about $8,000 in damage, with the Chilel Toyota sustaining about $5,000 in damage.
They tell us the case remains under investigation.
