Hartley, Iowa — A Hartley man has been arrested on a warrant for a felony intimidation charge after an incident in Hartley.
According to a criminal complaint filed with the O’Brien County Clerk of Court’s Office by the Hartley Police, 39-year-old Tracy McCallum of Hartley is accused of intimidating a victim with what the victim believed was a gun on September 1st. He was arrested on Thursday.

At that time, McCallum pulled out what was believed at the time to be, and looked like, a firearm and made threats with it towards the victim and himself before firing it inside the residence and leaving. There was also a minor child at the residence at the time of this incident.
McCallum was charged with intimidation with a dangerous weapon, a class C felony. If convicted, McCallum could face up to ten years in prison. He also faces a misdemeanor charge of first-degree harassment.
He faces a preliminary hearing on the charges on October 7th.
McCallum was booked into the O’Brien County Jail in Primghar, and was released on Tuesday after posting a $27,000 cash or surety bond.
