Sheldon, Iowa — There are some major road construction projects coming up in Sheldon.
We had a chance to visit with Sheldon Public Works Director Todd Uhl, who tells us one of the projects involves Western Avenue.
He says he’ll have more information after that meeting. Uhl says the other question he keeps getting is why there’s so much surveying work being done on Highway 18 through Sheldon.
He says that’s just the first part of the project. They’ll be putting in a new turn lane and re-doing the surface of the highway too.
Uhl says in his talks with the DOT, they have indicated they don’t plan to do any detours, but that could change, depending on circumstances.
