Sheldon, Iowa — A Laurens man has been arrested on a felony drug charge in Sheldon.
According to a criminal complaint filed with the O’Brien County Clerk of Court’s Office by the Sheldon Police Department, 47-year-old Jeremy Noah of Laurens is accused of the third or subsequent offense of possession of a controlled substance. He was arrested late last week.
In his statement, the officer says Noah was found with several items of drug paraphernalia in his possession, including a pill bottle, small glass jar, and a small glass vial that were all modified to consume controlled substances, and two torch lighters. He also had a glass pipe, small glass tubes, clear tubing, and a mirror all containing white crystalline substance. The substance on the mirror and in the glass jar field tested positive for methamphetamine.
Noah was charged with third or subsequent offense possession of a controlled substance, a class D felony. If convicted, he could face up to five years in prison. He also faces a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
He faces a preliminary hearing on the charge on February 14th.
At last report, Noah remained in the O’Brien County Jail in Primghar in lieu of bond.
