March 2025 Was A Little Warmer, A Little Wetter Than Normal In Sheldon

Sheldon, Iowa — The month of March 2025 was a little wetter and a little warmer than normal in Sheldon.

According to the weather facts collected by KIWA Radio, the highest high was 86 degrees, recorded on March 28. The lowest high temperature was 30 degrees, recorded on March 1st.

We recorded no below-zero temperatures in March. The lowest low in the month was 12 on March 1. The highest low was 37 recorded on March 3rd and tied on March 17.

The average high for the month was 51. The normal is 43. The average low was 25. The normal is 22. The average temperature as-a-whole for the month was 38 degrees, and normally it’s 33.

We received 2.57 inches of precipitation for March. A normal March sees 1.96, so we were above normal for the month by 0.61 inches. Year-to-date precip has been 2.8 inches.
