Several People Charged with Under Aged Drinking Near Rock Valley

Rock Valley, Iowa – Several people under the age of 21 have been charged with alcohol violations near Rock Valley.

The Sioux County Sherriff’s Office tells us that on Friday, Sept. 13th at 11:17 p.m. that they investigated a Nixle Tip report of people under the age of 21 in possession of alcohol at 2610 300th Street, northeast of Rock Valley.

Upon further investigation, Sioux County Sheriff’s Office deputies located several people under the age of 21 on the property consuming alcohol and discovered numerous alcohol containers, and other alcoholic beverages scattered across the property.

Shane Habben, age 19 of Ashton, Taylor Putnam, age 20 of George, Maggie Fykstra, age 19 of Hull, Logan Hoekstra, age 20 of Sheldon, Keegan Van Surksum, age 20, Logan van Engen, age 19, and Aric DeKam, age 20 all of Doon were charged with possession of alcohol while being under the legal age.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Rock Valley Police Department.
