Sheldon Community Schools Provides A Summer Lunch Program

Sheldon, Iowa — Did you know that there is a free summer lunch program for kids in the Sheldon area?

Jo Stegeman from Sheldon Community Schools tells us about the school district’s Summer Lunch Program, one of two summer lunch programs in Sheldon.

She tells us it’s been a popular program. She gives us last year’s total.

You may think that it’s only for kids from families below a certain income limit, but she tells us that’s not true.

For more information, you can call the Sheldon Community School District.

By the way, there is another summer lunch program in Sheldon — THAT one is put on by Faith Community Church, and is a completely separate program.

Stegeman made her comments on the KIWA Talk of the Town Program, which can be heard on weekday mornings at 8:30 on KIWA-FM 105.3. We also post a podcast of every Talk of The Town Program, and you can find those by clicking here.
