Sheldon, Iowa — A Sheldon woman has been arrested on drug charges, one of them a felony after a probation check at her home.
According to a criminal complaint filed with the O’Brien County Clerk of Court’s Office by the Sheldon Police Department, 41-year-old Amber Berger of Sheldon is accused of the possession of meth and prescription drugs. She was arrested on Thursday.
In his statement, the officer says that during a probation check, the probation officer found drug paraphernalia including pipes, bags with residue, a scale, and a bag of a substance that tested positive for methamphetamine.
Berger was charged with possession of a controlled substance, third or subsequent offense, a class D felony. If convicted, Berger could face up to five years in prison on the charge. She also faces two misdemeanor counts of unlawful possession of a prescription drug.
She faces a preliminary hearing on the charges on Monday, August 26th.
Berger was booked into the O’Brien County Jail in Primghar, and was released the next day after posting bond.
