Sioux Center Man Faces Three Felony Counts Of Sex Offender Registration

Sioux Center, Iowa — A Sioux Center man is again in trouble with the law and faces three more felony counts.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office tells us that on Friday afternoon, their deputies arrested 23-year-old Brady Christopher DeJong-Pedersen of Sioux Center.

The arrest stemmed from an investigation into a complaint on DeJong-Pedersen’s status on the Iowa Sex Offender Registry. Upon further investigation, the deputy determined that DeJong-Pedersen had violated the terms of the Sex Offender Registry.

DeJong-Pedersen was charged with three counts of Sex Offender Registry Violation, a class D felony. If convicted, he could face up to five years in prison on each count.

He faces a preliminary hearing on the charges on December 17th.

At last report, DeJong-Pedersen remained in the Sioux County Jail in Orange City in lieu of a $5000 bond.
