Storm Lake Middle School Evacuated Following Bomb Threat

Storm Lake, Iowa — The Storm Lake Middle School was evacuated Tuesday morning due to a bomb threat.

According to the Storm Lake Police Department, a comprehensive search of the premises located no devices. Police Chief Chris Cole says the department was called to the scene at 10:30 Tuesday morning. Students were allowed to return to the middle school around noon after the building was determined to be safe.

At last report, no arrests had been made. The investigation is ongoing. The Storm Lake Police Department and personnel from the Storm Lake Fire Department responded to the scene.
