A Dordt Defender earns GPAC Cross-Country Runner-of-the-Week honors

Sioux City, Iowa – A Dordt College Athlete has earned Cross-Country Runner-of-the-Week honors as announced by the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Wednesday, Oct. 2nd.

Corinne Braun of Dordt University is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women’s Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week. Braun, a freshman from Canton, South Dakota, helped lead the 8th-ranked Defenders to the team title at the Wildcat Classic, a meet hosted by Wayne State College and held at the Wayne Country Club. Braun won the 6K race with a time of 23:05, 10 seconds faster than her teammate Jessica Opfer. Braun has won both meets she competed in this season and this was the first 6K of her collegiate career.
