State-wide, Iowa – The Iowa Girls’ Coaches’ Association has released its all-state volleyball honors for the 2024 season.
In Class 3A, Scarlett Winterfeld from Western Christian was named to the Class 3A All-State second team with fellow teammate Morgan Kooima named to the Class 3A All-State third team and teammate Maggie Van Schepen named to the fourth team in Class 3A., Sioux Center athlete Margo Schuiteman was also named as a Class 3A All-State third team honoree. Player of the Year in Class 3A went to Cloe Meester of Mount Vernon and Coach of the Year in Class 3A went to Maggie Willems of Mount Vernon.
In Class 2A Clara Hoegh of Boyden-Hull was named to the All-State first team with Baily Boeve of Hinton also named to the first team in Class 2A. Jordyn Aeschilman of West Lyon was name to the second team , Denniel Boogerd of Boyden-Hull was picked to the third team and Karyln Kovarna of Hinton was selected to the fourth team. Molly Shafer of Eddyville-Blakeburg-Fremont was named as the Player-of-the-Year in Class 2A with Gladys Genskow of Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont picked at the Coach-of-the-Year.
