Bauermeister Transfers to Northwestern

Northwestern logoOrange City, Iowa —Ryan Bauermeister of Spencer has signed a letter of intent to continue his cross country and track and field careers at Northwestern College next fall.

Bauermeister comes to Northwestern after running one year for the University of South Dakota cross country and track and field teams. Bauermeister was a three-time all-state selection while running track for Spencer High School. He holds personal bests of 1:59 in the 800m and 4:26 in the 1,600m. Bauermeister was a three-time all-conference selection and owns Spencer’s cross country record with a 5K time of 15:55. An honors student, Bauermeister plans to major in secondary education at Northwestern. He is the son of Kurt and Karen.

“We are thrilled to have Ryan join our men’s distance crew,” commented head coach Scott Bahrke. “Ryan is a great fit for our program and he shows the same values as the other athletes on our team. We are excited to see how God will use him at Northwestern College.”
