BHRV Downs MOC-Floyd Valley

Orange City, Iowa — Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley won their third straight game after defeating MOC-Floyd Valley 42-12 at DeValois Stadium, Korver Field in Orange City Friday night.

Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley opened up the scoring late in the first quarter when Tanner Te Slaa found Kodi Noble from 8 yards out to make it 6-0. The Nighthawks scored three times in the second quarter. Alex Godfredson scored on a 24 yard touchdown reception, Josh Heitritter was on the receiving end of a 60 yard bomb, and Noble scored on a 7 yard run to make it 27-0 at the half.

Josh Heitritter scored on a 53 yard bomb for the Nighthawks to make it 35-0 after the Dylan Miller 2-point conversion. MOC-Floyd Valley then responded after a muffed punt by Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley. Colton Korver took the keeper 7 yards for their first score. Nighthawks scored again late in the 3rd with Noble scoring on a 37 yard screen to make it 42-6.

The Dutchmen scored again early in the fourth when Jackson Vaas scored on 23 yard reception to make it 42-12, and that would your final.

The Nighthawks improve to 3-5 on the year, 3-1 in district play and will host Sioux Center next week at A.R. Hesla Field in Hull to end the regular season. MOC-Floyd Valley falls to 0-8 on the year and 0-4 in the districts. The Dutchmen will be on the road next week to Okoboji.
