Sioux Center, Iowa– Justin Schmidt, a senior at Boyden Hull High School (Iowa), has announced his intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender basketball program.
Schmidt, a 6-5 forward, averaged 18.5 points and 6.8 rebounds per game for Boyden Hull this season and converted 63.3 percent of his shots from the field. Schmidt earned first-team all-Siouxland Conference honors this season.
“We are excited to add Justin to our program next season. He comes from a very competitive program at Boyden-Hull where he enjoyed a great deal of success,” said Dordt College basketball coach Ross Douma. “Justin is a versatile player who works hard on both ends of the floor. We look forward to watching him develop over the next four years.”
Schmidt is the son of Dennis and Sue Schmidt of Boyden, Iowa.
