Cyclones Blast Phoenix in Opener 85-44

Ames–Iowa State (1-0) flustered Green Bay (0-1) all night, scoring 27 points off of 16 Phoenix turnovers to secure a resounding 85-44 win on opening night of the 2023-24 collegiate basketball season.

Fellow newcomer Keshon Gilbert tallied 17 points, going 5-6 at the line, as he was the team’s second-leading scorer.
