Dordt won a 13-6 decision over Northwestern in a game that was suspended from Monday, April 15. The game was concluded on Tuesday, April 23 at Open Space Park in Sioux Center.
Dordt started the day up 6-2 going into the third inning and scored three more in the third, two in the fourth and two more in the sixth on the way to the 13-6 win.
Dordt banged out 12 hits and took advantage of five Northwestern errors.
Chris Schrieber knocked in four runs in his first two at bats with run scoring singles in the first and second innings.
Dordt’s three runs in the third came on three hits and a pair of errors—one of which resulted directly in two runs scoring on the play. Two more Northwestern errors in the fifth inning added two more runs and Dordt cruised to the seven run win.
Dordt is 4-20 in the GPAC and 7-24 overall
Northwestern is 12-12 and 18-22 overall.
