Dordt Volleyball Hosts #1 Jamestown Friday Night

Sioux Center, Iowa — The Dordt Defenders will host Jamestown on Friday night. The junior varsity starts at 6:00 with the varsity getting underway at 7:30.

Jamestown is 17-0 this season and are 6-0 in the GPAC. Since September 15 the Jimmies have won five matches by sweep. Jamestown has won 15 matches by sweep with Northwestern and Dordt taking sets from the Jimmies.

Jamestown is averaging 14.9 kills per set while allowing 8.9 and the Jimmies have a 98-47 ace serves advantage. The Jimmies also record 2.5 points per set from blocks.

Dordt is 10-4 this season and 2-3 in the GPAC and have dropped three matches in a row to rated opponents—Jamestown, Dakota Wesleyan and Northwestern.

Corrina Timmermans puts down 3.8 kills per set and has a .206 kill efficiency with a team high 22 ace serves and she accounts for 2.3 digs. Jessi Franken has a 2.7 kills per set average and Alli Timmermans is averaging 2.3 kills per set with a .294 kill efficiency. Campbell Marshall puts up 4.7 assists per set and Megan Raszler averages 5.6 and she has 13 ace serves. Erica Bousema is averaging a team high 5.7 digs per set and Mia Gamet gets to 2.6 digs and Makenna Kooima has 2.4. Brenna Krommendyk is averaging 2.5 kills per set with 1.3 blocks per outing but she has not played the last two matches.

Dordt has a 12.7-12.2 kills per set advantage with a 71-52 ace serves edge this season.

Dordt will host Morningside on October 6 and will travel to Concordia on Saturday, October 9.
