Dordt Women Meet Doane Saturday

Dordt will travel to Crete, Nebraska on Saturday, January 23 in GPAC play beginning at 2:00 pm.

Doane is 4-15 this season and 2-14 in the GPAC with both conference wins coming over Mount Marty. The Tigers have lost seven games in a row and 14 of their last 15 after starting the season 3-1.

Haylee Heits is averaging 13.6 points per game while converting 47.4 percent of her shots and she gets 5.7 rebounds per game. Sydney Roth is good for 10.1 points per game and is the co-leader with Olivia Nall in three-point shots made with 26. Nall has converted 9.8 points per game and Madison Davis is at 8.3 points per outing while Ashley Teten is the top rebounder with a 6.3 average.

Dordt is 11-8 this season and 10-6 in the GPAC and has won six out of its last seven and nine of its last 11.

Dordt is outscoring teams 72.0-66.7 and outrebound teams 44.7-34.3. Dordt converts 40.4 percent of its field goals while allowing teams to make 37.8 percent. Dordt also has made 33.4 percent of its three-point shots while opponents have made 32.1 percent.

Ashtyn Veerbeek is scoring 14.3 points per game while grabbing 9.5 rebounds per contest and she is making 44.8 percent of her field goal attempts and she is averaging 2.2 assists. Erika Feenstra is good for 13.2 points per game and Bailey Beckman adds 12.8 points per game with Feenstra taking away 5.6 rebounds and Beckman has handed out 2.7 assists per game and she leads the team with 22 steals. Karly Gustafson adds 10.2 points per game and she makes 55 percent of her field goals and she takes in 6.4 rebounds. Mya Chmielewski and Bailey Tetzlaff add 5.3 and 5.2 points per game respectively. Tetzlaff has 20 steals and Jordyn Winterfeld has 18.

Dordt beat Doane in early December by an 83-54 difference and used a combined 50-24 advantage in the second and third quarters to pull away. Feenstra scored 18 while Tetzlaff and Chmielewski each had 14 points. Nall scored 16 for Doane and Dordt held Heits to five points in the loss.

Dordt will travel to face Northwestern on Wednesday, January 27 at 6:00 pm.
