Dordt Women’s Cross Country Maintains Spot In Coaches Poll

Sioux Center, Iowa — Dordt University maintained a spot in this week’s edition of the NAIA Women’s Cross Country coaches’ poll released Thursday by the national office.

The Defenders are ranked 14th for the fourth consecutive poll and continue to be the highest rated team from the GPAC. Dordt joins Concordia (21), Hastings (RV) and Doane (RV) as teams from the conference in the national poll.

Dordt claimed its second team title of the fall, taking first at the Mount Marty Invite last weekend. Four Defenders finished in the top 10, six in the top 15, as they totaled 33 points.

The top five teams remain the same from the last poll, headlined by No.1 St.Francis (Ill.). Milligan (Tenn.), Cornerstone (Mich.), Taylor (Ind.) and Saint Mary (Kan.) round out the top five.

Dordt will next compete at the conference championship on Saturday, Nov.6 in Orange City, Iowa.
