Dordt Women’s Track/Cross Country #2 In Program Of The Year Standings

Sioux Center, Iowa — The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association has announced its final program of the year standings for the 2020-21 school year.

The Dordt women finished as runner-up in the standings that take into account finishes at the NAIA National Cross Country Championship, the NAIA Indoor National Championship and the NAIA Outdoor National Championship. The Dordt men claimed sixth in the standings.

The Dordt women claimed eighth place at the cross country championship; fifth at the indoor championship and 16th at the outdoor championship for 29 total points. Huntington (Indiana) claimed the top spot with 25.5 points. The lowest point total claimed Program of the Year honors.

The Defender men were 13th at the cross country championship, runner-up at indoor championships 14th at the outdoor championship. The men’s total was 29 with Huntington at 28.5 points and Doane with 27.5. Saint Mary (Kansas) won the title with 21 points.
