Dordt’s Kraemer, NWC’s Boeve Earn GPAC Softball Honors

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the softball player and pitcher-of-the-week for contests played March 7-13, 2022. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2021-22 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Pitcher – Abby Kraemer, Dordt University

Abby Kraemer of Dordt University is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports pitcher-of-the-week. Kraemer, a junior from Alta, Iowa, pitched in five games and the Defenders won all five games she appeared in. On the week she recorded a 0.55 earned run average in 25.2 innings pitched and earned a pair of saves. She allowed one earned run in a win over No. 8 Indiana Wesleyan and gave up one run to Saint Xavier (Receiving Votes).

Player – Jennifer Boeve, Northwestern College (Infielder)

Northwestern’s Jennifer Boeve is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports softball player-of-the-week. Boeve, a junior from Hastings, Nebraska, helped the Raiders to a 7-3 record on the week, including knocking off No. 9 Olivet Nazarene, 15-0, on Tuesday. She had two games this week with three RBI, totaling 11 on the week. She hit .421 with 16 hits (4 doubles, a triple, and a home run) and also scored 13 runs for Northwestern.
